The double champion has said throughout the summer that there is no chance of him reversing his decision on retiring and while he was clearly emotional at Philip Island when asked about his thoughts for this weekend he made it clear that it was simply a case of business as usual at Repsol Honda.
“I made a realistic decision when I decided to retire so I wont get to this point and think it was a wrong decision,” said Stoner. “I think a lot with my head and not always with my heart so there shouldn’t be any difference. The biggest difference is that I’m not thinking about the test and about next year. It feels a bit different heading into the race but not when Im in the box.”
